Shot alongside Supply to Sky, Second Flight continues our exploration of aerospace logistics through the lens of a single reclaimed bolt.
Farsound
Arthur Design
Captured primarily at Farsound’s Madrid facility and Iberia Airlines’ maintenance centre, this film shifts focus to the meticulous process of inspection and kitting—where each reclaimed part is assessed for reuse and combined with new components to form ready-to-fit kits.
Once again, the bolt is our central character. We follow its journey with kinetic camera movement and cinematic intent, revealing the precision behind each stage of its second chance at flight. Through dynamic shots and detailed process coverage, we show how Farsound’s expertise ensures that only the parts that pass stringent checks make it back onto the aircraft.
The film concludes with a shared VFX crescendo: the bolt is installed into a jet engine, which transitions into a fully CG aircraft ascending through the sky. As with its counterpart, this required match-moving gimbal footage, 3D engine reconstruction, and rotoscoping integration—delivering another seamless blend of realism and stylised visual storytelling.
Together, the two films offer parallel perspectives on aerospace supply: one celebrating the journey of the new, the other honouring the resilience of the reusable.
